Counting My Blessings...

Want to apologize for my absence...I am with family, celebrating the graduation of our youngest from college; united with all three sons for the first time in almost two years!  So...as you can imagine, we are all thrilled.

Unfortunately, our daughters-in-law are not with us, and both have our precious grandsons with them.  They have both suffered losses of family members (in their families of origin) within the last few days, one has traveled to her hometown for support, the other is laid up with a knee injury.  Life has a way of throwing curve balls and messing up plans, doesn't it?

So, the circle of life continues... family members pass away, young men grow up and start life on their own- pursuing their dreams and areas of giftedness, grandsons delight in the midst of grief shared...

I will be back next week to my blog, to "chat" with you again before too long.  My chance to catch up with grown sons has left me with many ideas of blogging topics, mostly about life going by  /time marching on, memories made and grief assuaged by miracles of discovery through toddler eyes. We take so much for granted until something happens that brings us up short and requires us to slow our lives down and take stock, evaluate and possibly change our priorities and perspectives to take in more of the blessings we have been given!  We can not take a single day with loved ones for granted...I will tell you how close we came to knowing that first hand during this reunion!

Have a wonderful weekend...we certainly intend to!  So proud of our son Ben and his amazing accomplishments during his college career! We have been blessed in so many ways.  That's another thing you should never take for granted.  Count your blessings...it helps you be more aware of God's hand on your life.  I'll be back soon...
