"There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you!" - Maya Angelou Love is not easily angered, it keeps no records of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. - 1 Corinthians 13:6
There's just something about a bully that makes the hair on the back of my neck stand on end. It's not necessarily their size; you can have a bully half the size of their victim; but more often it's the big guys who just want to throw their weight around. What I wouldn't have paid for a ringside seat!
All three of our boys were pretty small for their age until they hit the summer after their sophomore or junior year of high school. We have a photo of our oldest son Scott from his sophomore year in marching band. He was planted between two seniors who were a good head and shoulders taller than he was. It was always a source of embarrassment until they hit that growth spurt and in Scott's case, put on a good six inches the summer before his senior year. When he returned to school in the fall, his peers were flabbergasted!
Before that wonderful glorious summer of maturity however, he put up with a great deal of harassment from one particular guy twice his size. This individual shall remain nameless (his initials were R.K.) and he got such a kick out of making Scott's life miserable!
